gift guide: books to cherish for years to come
One of our favorite things to do each year is purchase several new books for Alden to grow his library. I love gorgeous books with compelling stories and beautiful illustrations. We always try to choose books that display a variety of perspectives, as well as diversity. A lot of the books we love and cherish center on nature and learning. I’ve compiled 39 of our family’s favorite children’s books here for you! I’ve linked all of them to Amazon, but if you have a local bookstore, definitely search there and support them! Our closest bookstore is about an hour away, so we get most of our books from amazon, but there are lots of wonderful local shops that you could support!
We reach for these books over and over again. Reading the stories, memorizing the images, learning and soaking in the magic of books. We have a bookshelf that is home to most of our “special” books that we have purchased for Alden over the past couple of years and it’s right in our living room where he can quickly grab a book and curl up on the couch.
