  7. Crazy Rich Asians

First of all, I LOVE the all-asian cast of this movie! This movie actively works to dismantle Asian stereotypes, and I would love it for that reason alone! Aside from that, the story is honestly really fun and one I watch over and over!

  8. Roman Holiday

Does it get more classic than this? Probably not! But if you are looking for a “vintage” rom com, you cannot go wrong with this Audrey Hepburn favorite.

  9. The Perfect Date

This Netflix original is a cheesy but cute movie about a high school guy who hires himself out as “the perfect date”, and then ends up falling in love with the girl who has been in front of him.

  10. Love Guaranteed

I’m a sucker for anything with anyone from the cast of New Girl in it. Coach is in this one and it’s cheesy and yet so fun.

  11. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

This is hands-down the best Netflix original movie that I have seen. Beautiful, poignant, and wonderful articulate in its storytelling.

This one has to be on everyone’s list! Dreamy and romantic and heartbreaking all at once.

  14. A Walk to Remember

The perfect movie if you need to cry. I always sob during this movie, but it’s so beautiful that I can’t keep myself from it.

  15. Brittany Runs a Marathon

This isn’t a traditional rom com or love story, but it’s beautiful and I knew it had to be included. As Brittany falls in love with herself and who she is throughout the course of the movie, it’s a poignant reminder for us to do the same. A body conscious, woman-centered movie that tells a story in a way that sticks with you.

  16. Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn is always a win! This forever classic is a must on all romantic lists.

  17. You’ve Got Mail

“ Peter once asked me when I fell in love with Jack. And I told him, ‘It was while you were sleeping’.”

  20. Maid in Manhattan

This “Cinderella for adults” story is cheesy and so predictable, but perfect for all hopeless romantics who always want a happy ending.

  21. A Star is Born

This movie is utterly heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. All the tears over this one!

  22. Two Weeks Notice

Few happy endings in Rom Coms feel truly deserved in my opinion, but this is one is so perfect in it’s ending. Also, Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant.

  23. La La Land

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone perfection and nothing else needs to be said. it’s fun, it’s dreamy, and it’s the perfect cold February night pick!

  24. Desperados

I watched this Netflix original a few months ago and I feel like absolutely no one is talking about it. It stars Winston and Aly from New Girl and it’s a perfect lighthearted rom com! So underrated for sure. Cheesy at times? Oh absolutely. But so good.

  25. Leap Year

I’ll confess, this isn’t my favorite rom com ever, but it is such a fun lighthearted one that is perfect for February that it had to make the list.

  26. Little Women

The new one, the old one, whichever one you choose you cannot go wrong. These are perfect and while maybe not a traditional rom com, is a beautiful lighthearted romance for the ages.

  27. Blind Date

I watched this movie entirely in French (with English subtitles) and it was truly delightful! It’s about a pianist and an inventor who share a very thin wall between apartments and start out as enemies and slowly develop a friendship and love interest long before they ever meet. So fun!

  28. Emma

The new one, with Anya Taylor-Joy, is perfect if you love period pieces. I don’t love the main character during most of the movie (which, to be fair, is how Emma was written), but the ending is just wonderful.

What’s your favorite rom-com? I would love to know your top favs! I’m always looking for some good new ones. Up next on my list are It’s Complicated, Pretty Woman, and Valentine’s Day!
