a look into our garden in June

a little peek into our garden right now. so much is happening right now! the pole beans are over my head. we've harvested the last of our turnips and almost all of our radishes (I desperately need to get another radish planting in the ground). we have tomatoes growing on 8/13 plants (the last 5 plants were late start cherry tomatoes and shouldn’t be far from producing now). we harvested the first of the tomatoes last night. zucchini and crookneck squash are coming on. there are blossoms on our cucumbers and acorn and spaghetti squash. peas and greens are in continual harvest right now. our bulb onions will probably be ready in a month or so, and our seed onions should be ready at the end of summer. garlic will be harvested in a couple weeks. all of the carrots should be ready within the next couple of weeks. peppers are forming on all of our plants.

this is honestly my favorite season in the garden - when everything is growing and vegetables are slowly ripening, but before the rush of full harvest to get everything preserved and stored away.
